The Department of Applied Foreign Languages boasts a faculty dedicated to the study and teaching of English and Japanese as foreign languages. The range of professional backgrounds and interests among the faculty offers students a diverse opportunity to enhance their language acquisition skills. In addition to the recruitment of faculty specializing in foreign languages, special consideration is also given to those with practical experience. Among the faculty are also several foreign teachers with English as their native language, providing authentic reinforcement for students¡¦ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English. |

The Department¡¦s faculty focuses on the cultivation of foreign language abilities. Using interactive methods, students are provided by teachers with language training in the four fields of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Special emphasis is placed on training in oral communication skills so as to cultivate students who will become talented members of society in demand by the trade and industry sectors. |

The establishment of an advanced foreign language teaching environment by the faculty is done along with reinforcing student training in terms of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This is done in the hopes that when students graduate, they will also be able to pass the intermediate level of local proficiency tests in Japanese and English. |
