evening class). For the 2006-2007 academic year, an upper-level Two-year Bachelor¡¦s Program Evening and Continuing Education class will be added, raising the status of the Department. An application will be made in 2007 to establish a formal four-year Bachelor¡¦s program for a university department. To complement national policies of globalization, free trade, and developing Taiwan¡¦s high technology, the Department aims to cultivate students who have an intermediate command of foreign languages as well as related practical skills in computer technology and business. As for teaching, in addition to reinforcing student training in speaking, listening, writing, translation, and computer skills in English and Japanese, students take complementary courses in business so that they achieve the benefits and success when applying their specialization in languages to the field of business and industry after graduation. |
